Actually, why can’t runway models be short? So, won’t we have any chance to show our talents? Do you know that feeling when seeing a tall person in a wheelchair? It’s one of those moments when you think, “That person could be my brother.” Well, I have that same feeling about runway models. Why can't runway models be short

They’re supposed to be tall or at least have long legs. But they often aren’t. And while it’s understandable why they might be at these specific heights. Because it makes them easier to see on camera, it doesn’t mean we can’t dream about what the world would look like if some of those women were shorter. First of all, this is my confession about being a shorter girl!

Why can’t runway models be short?

Women are not the same.

That is true that all are not the same size. There are many types of women, and one size does not fit all. Runway Models cannot be representative of all women. They are just one type of woman who happens to have a lot of money. So it would be unfair to judge anyone by their appearance or lifestyle choices. Though we can control our body shape by dieting, we can’t get taller by dieting or exercising.

The world should be fairer.

The world is not a perfect place. But the notion that it should be equal strikes me as odd. Why would anyone want their life to be less than what they have? If you’re a short person like me and live in a world with tall people everywhere. Then why wouldn’t our short life revolve around them?runway model

Some people think that being short means your life isn’t worth living. But if so, let them talk about how their lives feel like shit. Because of their height, instead of bringing up something as trivial as the length of someone else’s leg!

We all benefit from diversity race/ethnicity, gender identity or expression. The same applies here. Models should reflect our society by having diverse body types represented amongst them too!

In a perfect world, runway models would be short.

The world would be a better place if it were fairer. The world would be a better place if it were more inclusive. The world would be a better place if it were more diverse. And lastly and most importantly, the world is full of people who are different from us, and that’s okay! We need everyone to unite and celebrate our differences instead of fighting them on social media platforms daily, though we’re all guilty.

Finally, I’m not saying we should all go out and mutilate ourselves to look like runway models. But authorized individuals could change the industry so that women are judged by their talent and not their height.

So, short people, especially if energy is taken, deserve some respect. However, there are now more short models on the runway than ever. In some cases, leg proportion should take precedence over height.
